In-house Training Courses

We recognise that no two companies and no two audiences are the same. We expect to work closely with our clients to set clear objectives for the training and to understand the background and experience of the trainees. We work very hard to ensure that our training courses are relevant to the day-to-day needs of the trainees, from Directors to new members of the administration team. Our tutors will ensure that the course is a success by delivering the material in a stimulating and enjoyable way.

We regularly run courses ranging from just half a day to a full week. The final decision is yours, but we'll be happy to advise on the appropriate length and format of any course. We'll even run evening or weekend courses if this fits in with your business needs more closely.

Case study: training members of a pensions review team

A large UK insurance company needed to train a team of people to collect data and perform initial calculations as part of the FSA review of its pensions business.

Our team of pensions tutors designed two courses:

  • an introductory course for the less experienced members of staff to develop their understanding of the main issues and to highlight the different types of work they might meet
  • a technical course for the most experienced members of staff who needed a deep level of understanding to check detailed calculations.

We designed the courses around the specific tasks and sources of information that the trainees would meet during their day-to-day work. This material was presented using a mixture of teaching, examples, case studies and exercises.

The client said: "Once again many thanks for your training sessions this week. You had two very distinct groups yet pitched the training to perfection and all the feedback I've had is that the exercises in particular were relevant, demanding and extremely useful."
